Concert for a Cure: Bourbon Legend’s Third Annual Fundraiser for Pelotonia.

On May 10th, 2025, Bourbon Legend will take the stage once again at Grizzlybird Brewing Company in Westerville from 4:00 - 8:00 pm for the 3rd Annual Concert for a Cure—a special night of music, community, and giving back. This event, hosted by Bourbon Legend’s vocalist Bill Reinking, is more than just a show; it’s a mission to raise funds for Pelotonia, an organization dedicated to funding life-saving cancer research at The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute at The Ohio State University.

Each year, the Concert for a Cure brings together music lovers, local businesses, and generous donors for a night of entertainment and philanthropy. The event features a silent auction, packed with amazing donated items from local businesses and personal friends, including Grizzlybird Brewing Company, which has generously donated their space for the event the past two years. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, and Bourbon Legend will donate their time and talents, performing a two-hour set filled with high-energy originals and fan-favorite covers.

Growing Impact, Growing Hope

Since its inception, this event has made an increasing impact. The first year, with the help of Bourbon Legend, $3,898 was raised for Pelotonia. Last year, that number grew to $4,630. This year, we’re setting our sights even higher, aiming to make an even bigger difference.

A Personal Mission

For Bill, the fight against cancer is personal. He first rode in Pelotonia in 2020 after his brother-in-law’s cancer diagnosis left him feeling helpless. “I didn’t even have a bike,” he recalls, “but I knew I had to do something to help.” Five years later, he continues to ride, fundraise, and rally others around this cause.

After several years of participating in Pelotonia, Bill sought out a new way to contribute. “I wanted to come up with a creative way to raise funds,” he says. “I asked my bandmates if they would donate their time and talents to help me, and the rest is history. I couldn’t do this without their help and support, and I’m grateful.”

As a band, Bourbon Legend believes in using music to bring people together—not just for entertainment, but for a purpose. Concert for a Cure is a perfect example of what happens when music, passion, and community unite for something bigger than ourselves.
