David Brooks brings the unmistakable banjo spark that helps define Bourbon Legend’s sound. From a soundtrack obsession to a bucket-list birthday show, to woodworking, teaching, and cross-country travels, David’s creativity shines through everything he does — onstage and off.

We weren’t sure if “Pink Pony Club” would fit our sound, but after a few run-throughs, it just clicked. Now it’s a crowd favorite, and we’re excited to share our full cover video.

Meet Bill, the voice of Bourbon Legend. From casual jam sessions with guitarist Jim Lipnos to their first open mic where host Rick Barr encouraged them forward, Bill’s journey has been about courage, connection, and growth. With support from vocal coach Rebekah Newton, he stepped into songwriting and found his voice not just as a singer, but as a storyteller. Today, Bill leads Bourbon Legend with gratitude and heart.

Meet guitarist Jim Lipnos, the steady heartbeat of Bourbon Legend. Growing up in Cleveland, he swapped drums for guitar after discovering Aerosmith and folk-rock classics. Today, his rhythm playing provides the foundation for the band’s sound, driving every song with passion and precision—even if it means breaking a string or two along the way.

Megan Rae brings passion, personality, and purpose to Bourbon Legend as the band’s violinist. A Pittsburgh native with a love for Broadway, classical, and post-hardcore music, she’s been playing since third grade and never looked back. From quirky sock choices to her named instruments, Megan’s style is all her own — and her dedication to music education runs just as deep as her love for the stage.

Playing at local breweries isn’t just about the music — it’s about community, connection, and embracing the moment. From supportive crowds to unexpected lessons (like always pack extra batteries), Bourbon Legend shares what makes these hometown shows so special — and what they’ve learned along the way.
